Torrent wont start downloading

uTorrent not downloading : major causes. Utorrent not downloading or stuck at connecting to peers is very annoying. BitTorrent Clients (such as uTorrent or Vuze) are very helpful to download and share files among Internet users (as far as the files are legal of course).

Some VPN will let you download torrent files for utorrent but will not permit their VPN to be torrenting files. I've been using the same approach for months without problems. Before I started using TOR to get my torrents, I was using a regular browser and uTorrent for downloading the torrents. I have tried everything from clients (bittorrent, utorrent, bitcomet, and more) to browsers like opera and torch, to cloud based servers that download it for you and give you a download link. I have tried this on wireless and wired connections I have turned off firewalls and vpn services but nothing has worked. The downloads just stay at %0 and when using clients I never went above 2 kb/s. If this is all the work of comcast they are doing one hell of a good job, but please help. I'm am not

Certain magnet links are stuck on "Downloading metadata". Restarting the torrent do not work. Pause and Start. Restarting qbittorrent do not work. It shows many seeds and peers but it is not fetching the torrent file. Both uTorrent and Tixati is able to download the torrent file.

I WILL MAKE NO REMOTE REFERENCE TO WHAT THIS TORRENT COULD POSSIBLY BE, SO THE MODS WON'T REMOVE MY POST FOR A THIRD TIME. What worked for me was changing one of the settings: Go to Options -> Preferences. Select BitTorrent, and at the Protocol Encryption section, change the Outgoing option from Disabled to Forced.
